Ringing in the New Year
Well I must say this has been the most eventful past year that I can ever remember in my short 24 years the Lord has given me.
The beginning of this year I was ringing in the New Year by myself, I'm pretty sure I was deathly ill…
I had just got back from seeing my husband graduate from basic in San Antonio and was waiting to hear from him on when he would arrive at his tech school somewhere out there in Texas.
This is his graduation - so handsome! And the River Walk was amazing with all the Christmas lights.
We were married a grand total of one month before he left for basic and it was a waiting game on when he would finish tech school and be based somewhere to when I could come join him.
(It would be another 6 months after he graduated basic…)
Between January and end of April, Josh was in tech school at Shepherd in Texas. I visited him twice, flew once and drove him his truck the second time. Which on the way back my brand new car broke down in Louisiana right near West Monroe, Duck Dynasty country, which I visited!
Roaming Gnome, Silas!
Finally May came and Josh would be going to his final base, though still in tech, Davis-Monthan AFB….the desert. It wouldn't be until the beginning of June though that he'd be able to graduate, take leave and come back to Ga to visit, help me pack up, and we both head to our current base for the next few years.
I, also, had photo refractive eye surgery and was finally free from the "almost legally blind" eyesight I had been living with since I was 11! Happy day! And we got our little hellion Pippin.
During Josh's visit back in June we didn't realize how "fertile" we would be and lo and behold I was already pregnant by the time we left for Arizona at the end of the month (I wasn't aware though)
THEN THE FUN BEGAN!!!
Within the last 6, almost 7, months we have moved twice and unpacked twice (being pregnant both times) found out we were expecting our unexpected miracle,
Eva-Marie Jewel!
and gained another family member, our little Simon.
Lets just say it has been one heck of a year and been a true trial, game of patience, and blessing.
I can honestly say it has been the best and hardest year and can't wait to see what 2014 has in store!
